Oconto Falls Area Veterans Monument Dedication

In 2011, it was Marie Magnin’s vision to build a Veterans Monument to Honor her husband “Chub” Magnin and all other area Veterans that served our country.  Marie and the Oconto Falls Legion Unit 302 Auxiliary started to raise funds for the build.  After 6 years, Marie asked the American Legion Post 302 Veterans to help her complete the project.  Fast forward to November 2019, and along with Veterans and the community of Oconto Falls and surrounding area…Mission Complete!

A Dedication was conducted on Saturday, November 9th 2019, with more than 500 people in attendance, at the PAC in the High School.  The Flag Raising & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was then held at the Veterans Monument.  The Ceremony concluded with the unveiling of Marie’s Vision Plaque, which is beautiful tribute, etched in a bronze memorial plaque, set at the entrance of the monument.

The Veterans of Oconto Falls American Legion Post 302 and The Monument Committee are proud to present The Oconto Falls Area Veterans Monument dedicated and open to All Veterans that served our Great Country.
