Eastside and Westside Beaches

During the heat of the summer, there is no better place to be than the beach, and Oconto Falls has two! The Eastside and Westside beaches each have a sandy beach area for swimming, wading, and sand castle building, along with pavilions and picnic areas for gathering. Boat launches are available at each location. In the winter, the waterfront at both beaches becomes populated with ice fishing shanties, and the river becomes part of the local snowmobile club trail.

Oconto Falls Tubing Hill

Bundle up and grab your family, friends, and snow tubes for an exhilarating ride down the Oconto Falls Tubing Hill. The Tubing Hill is open from 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday when snow and weather conditions allow. After a thrilling slide down the hill, catch the tow rope to pull you back to the top for another go-round or warm up with free hot chocolate and hotdogs. Tubes are available for public use, or bring your own tubes (helmets are recommended, too). The Tubing Hill is operated free of charge by the Oconto Falls Lions Club, and donations are welcome. The hill is located off South Main Street and Mead Avenue near River Island Golf Course.

Boat/Canoe/Kayak

Pack your crawlers and fishing gear and drop a line in the Oconto Falls Pond to catch a few for the fry pan. If fishing isn’t for you, strap on the water skis to zip across the water or spend a few hours paddling your canoe or kayak. Whatever water sport you choose, start your outing at one of the city’s two boat landings, located at the East Side and West Side beaches.
