Abrams Spotlight Productions, Inc. will holding open auditions for their next play, The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays (Book by Ken Ludwig) on May 6 & 7, 2015 – 6:00pm-8:00pm at The Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple Street, Abrams.It is December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
Actors age 15 and older are welcome to audition. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. You must audition in order to be in the show, no late entries will be allowed. Rehearsals will generally be on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning in May. Show dates are scheduled for August 14-16 & 21-23, 2015. Please consider your availability for all rehearsals and show dates, and your level of commitment before auditioning. We are always looking for Backstage and Front of House Crew Members as well.
