There is plenty of space available yet for contestants and the entry fee is only $10.00.

All you need to do is sign up by contacting Mary Beth Rice at 920-373-1216 or at mbbrice@plbb.us for more information and to sign up today.

It is easy to participate.  All you need to do is make your favorite or signature CHILI and bring either 3 gallons or one large nesco roaster full and let the fun begin.  Three local chefs will judge the entries and the people will decide the “PEOPLES CHOICE” winner by their votes.

There are great cash prizes too!  First place wins $200.00, 2nd place gets $125.00 and 3rd place wins $75.00.   The People’s Choice winner will receive a Racheal Ray 12 Qt. covered stockpot filled with cooking supplies valued at over $100.00.

The Chili Cook Off is Sat., Sept. 8th. Right here in Oconto Falls.  It starts with contestants setting up at 9:00 A.M. , judging by the 3 local chefs at 10:30 A.M. and tasting open to the public at 11:00 A.M.    Chili and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Chili Cook Off is a fundraiser for the Oconto Falls Lioness Club and the Avenue of Lights Project.  The Lioness Club is raising funds to pay for the electrical upgrades done along the Beach and the river so that the Avenue of Lights can continue and even be bigger and better.   The Lioness Club truly feels that the Avenue of Lights is something that is worthwhile for the community and has pledged to keep it going.

So grab your soup ladle, stock pot and that favorite Chili recipe and join the Oconto Falls Lioness Club in their 2nd . annual Lioness Chili Cook Off.    We are looking forward to seeing you!!

Chamber Golf Outing

The Chamber Golf Outing was loads of fun. Not only was there great weather, but people had a great time, lots of prizes and good food. Even better was the company and contacts people were able to make that day.

Networking and meeting others outside the workplace is just another way the Chamber helps embers build their working relationships.

Golf Outing on July 30

The Oconto Area Chamber and Oconto Falls Chamber will host a joint golf outing on Monday, July 30th, at River Island Golf Club.   2 p.m. shotgun start. Oconto Falls Chamber Fun Fest is fast approaching

Good Afternoon Members:

The Oconto Falls Chamber Fun Fest is fast approaching and there are a few things that I think you would like to take advantage of regarding this event. Some of the things in the works are an Art Fair, Craft Fair, Children’s activities (bouncers, sidewalk art, face painting, youth football games), music by the band Diamond and Steel, various food tents, (Lions, Chili-Cookoff by OF Lionesses, Youth Football).  Panther Pride is putting together a walk/run for the 8th of September, and of course the city wide rummage sales.  We would also like to see participation from area businesses with sidewalk and store sales.

1.)     We are looking for Sponsorships for various events throughout the weekend.  Amounts in the past have varied from $50.00 to $1,000.00.

Please contact me if you have done this in the past or would like to start out with our new and improved Falls Fest!

2.)    One new item this year would be to put together a sheet of coupons from area businesses to be handed out in the local paper with the rummage sale ads as well as handed out at Memorial Field.  These coupons would not have to be good for just that weekend but perhaps other times as well to promote your business.  If you are interested in this aspect of the Fun Fest please contact me as soon as possible.  Space will be limited for these coupons.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.
