Construction November 2nd

For the week of November 2nd to November 6th

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to Cherry Street on WIS 22.

o   WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to Cherry Street but will be limited, due to construction activity along the corridor.

o   Both Cherry Street and Caldwell Avenue will be closed to WIS 22 from the east while the intersections achieves proper cure time and strengths.

o   Martell Construction will continue pouring sidewalks and driveways along the south and north side of the roadway from Union Street to Cherry Street.

o   Peters Concrete will start placing topsoil.

o   Landscapers will start working on the landscaped areas near Caldwell and the library late in the week.

o   Turf landscaping and signing will start late in the week.

Construction Updates October 26

October 26th to October 30th

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to Cherry Street on WIS 22.
    • WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to Cherry Street but will be limited, due to construction activity along the corridor.
    • Both Cherry Street and Caldwell Avenue will be closed to WIS 22 from the east while the intersections achieves proper cure time and strengths.
    • Once both Cherry Street and Caldwell Avenue achieve proper cure, both streets will reopen to WIS 22 from the east.
    • Vinton Construction will be forming and pouring curb and gutter at Cherry Street and Central Avenue.
    • Martell Construction will continue pouring sidewalks along the south and north side of the roadway from Union Street to Cherry Street.
    • Peters Concrete will continue removing existing sidewalk and grading for new sidewalk along the east side of STH 22.
  • The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts and/or weather events.
  • Traffic control measure should ONLY be moved by authorized personnel.

Construction Updates October 19

For the week of October 19th to October 23rd–
· Crews will be working from Main Street to Cherry Street on WIS 22.
o WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to Cherry Street but will be limited, due to construction activity along the corridor.
o Both Cherry Street and Central Avenue will be closed to WIS 22 from the east while the intersections achieves proper cure time and strengths.
o Once both Cherry Street and Central Avenue achieve proper cure, both streets will reopen to WIS 22 from the east. At which time, Caldwell Avenue will be closed to complete the remaining concrete pavement gaps.
o Vinton Construction will be forming and pouring the intersections of Caldwell Avenue and Union Street.
o Vinton Construction will continue with concrete patch work from Cherry Street to Highland Drive. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the center lanes.
o Martell Construction will continue pouring sidewalks along the south and north side of the roadway from Union Street to Cherry Street.

Construction Updates October 12

For the week of October 12th to October 16th

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to Cherry Street on WIS 22.

o   WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to Cherry Street but will be limited, due to construction activity along the corridor.

o   Both Cherry Street and Central Avenue will be closed to WIS 22 from the east while the intersection are being constructed.

  • Vinton Construction will be forming and pouring the intersections of Cherry Street, Caldwell Avenue, Central Avenue and Union Street.
  • Martell Construction will start pouring sidewalks along the south side of the roadway, starting at Union Street working towards Cherry Street.

o   Concrete patch work will be completed from Cherry Street to Highland Drive.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction at this time.

  • The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts and/or weather events.
  • Traffic control measure should ONLY be moved by authorized personnel.

Construction Updates September 28

For the week of September 28th to October 2nd

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to Cherry Street on WIS 22.
  • WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to Cherry Street in the northbound lanes, until strengths are achieved on the recently paved southbound lanes.  Once strengths are achieved traffic will be switched to the southbound lanes.
  • Both Cherry Street and Central Avenue will be closed to WIS 22 from the east, until strengths are achieved on the concrete pavement poured on September 23rd.
  • Vinton Construction will be prepping and paving the northbound lanes on Tuesday, September 29th.  Concrete curb and gutter will be poured on the southbound lanes as early as Wednesday, September 30th.
  • Vinton Construction will be prepping and paving the northbound lanes on Tuesday, September 29th.  Concrete curb and gutter will be poured on the southbound lanes as early as Wednesday, September 30th.

Construction Updates September 21

· Crews will be working from Main Street to East Highland Drive.

o WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to East Highland Drive.

o WIS 22 from South Main Street to Cherry Street will be closed to through traffic.

§ Side road access will be reduced at Cherry Street, Caldwell Street and Central Street for construction operations.

§ Access across WIS 22 will be alternating between Caldwell and Central Avenues throughout the next few weeks and will be barricaded with a sign stating “Closed to Through Traffic”

§ Peters Concrete will complete grading operations either later today, September 16th or tomorrowSeptember 17th.

§ Concrete Pavement crew is anticipated to start prep work and paving the week of September 21stand anticipating paving the northbound lanes on September 23rd.

· The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts and/or weather events.

· Traffic control measure should ONLY be moved by authorized personnel.

· Just a quick friendly reminder to properties that have been recently landscaped – please leave the erosion mat in place to allow for the grass to take off and grow. The erosion mat is designed to deteriorate over time.

· Next informational meeting is this Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m., City Hall.

Construction Updates September 7

For the week of September 7th to September 11th

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to East Highland Drive.

o   WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to East Highland Drive.

o   WIS 22 from South Main Street to Cherry Street will be closed to through traffic.

  • Side road access will be reduced at Cherry Street, Caldwell Street and Central Street for grading operations.
  • Access across WIS 22 will be alternating between Caldwell and Central Avenues throughout the next few weeks and will be barricaded with a sign stating “Closed to Through Traffic”
  • Peters Concrete will continue grading and placing base aggregate between Cherry Street and Union Street intersections.  Operations will start work today at Union Street and anticipated that grading operations will be completed by September 16th.
  • Concrete Pavement crew is anticipated to start prep work and paving the week of September 14th.
  • No work will occur on September 7th, due to Labor Day.
  • The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts and/or weather events.
  • Traffic control (barricades) measure should ONLY be moved by authorized personnel.
  • Just a quick friendly reminder to properties that have been recently landscaped – please leave the erosion mat in place to allow for the grass to take off and grow.  The erosion mat is designed to deteriorate over time.

o WIS 22 from South Main Street to Cherry Street will be closed to through traffic.
§ Side road access will be reduced at Cherry Street, Caldwell Street and Central Street for storm sewer installation.
§ Access across WIS 22 will be alternating between Caldwell and Central Avenues throughout the next few weeks and will be barricaded with a sign stating “Closed to Through Traffic”
§ Peters Concrete will continue installing storm sewer work between Caldwell Street and Central Street intersections.
· The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts and/or weather events.
· Traffic control measure should ONLY be moved by authorized personnel.

For the week of August 17th to August 21st

  • Cauldwell and Central Avenues will be open but with staggered barricades with a sign stating “Closed to Through Traffic”
  • Peters Concrete will continue concrete pavement removal on Monday, August 17th, 2015 from Caldwell Street to Main Street.
  • Peters Concrete will continue installing storm sewer work between Cherry Street and Caldwell Street intersections.

Construction Update August 10th

For the week of August 10th to August 14th

  • Crews will be working from Main Street to East Highland Drive.

o   WIS 22 will be open to local traffic from South Main Street to East Highland Drive starting this Friday night, August 7th, 2015.

o   WIS 22 from South Main Street to Cherry Street will be closed to through traffic starting Monday morning, August 10th, 2015.

  • Side road access will be reduced at Cherry Street for storm sewer installation.
  • Cauldwell and Central Avenues will be open but with staggered barricades with a sign stating “Closed to Through Traffic”
  • Hard Rock will start saw cutting existing driveways and sidewalks starting Monday, August 10th, 2015.
  • Peters Concrete will start concrete pavement removal on Monday, August 10th, 2015 from Cherry Street to Cauldwell Avenue.
  • Peters Concrete will start storm sewer work on Wednesday or Thursday, August 12th or August 13th, 2015 at Cherry Street intersection.
