WISCONSIN SINGERS TO PERFORM ON OCTOBER 27

wisconsin SingersThe Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts are proud to present THE WISCONSIN SINGERS – with Opening Act ENCORE! as part of their 2017-2018 Fine Arts Series. The performance will take place on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Falls Area Performing Arts Center, located in Oconto Falls High School.

UW-Madison’s most talented singers, dancers and instrumentalists, the Wisconsin Singers, will take the stage at with a Broadway-caliber show that promises to entertain your whole family. You won’t want to miss the Wisconsin Singers newest show, Can’t Stop Dancing! With more than sixty songs from timeless legends like Sam Cooke and Fred Astaire, to current pop icons such as Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift, you’ll enjoy every minute of this high energy show. Broadway fans will love well-known numbers from 42nd Street, Hairspray, and Dear Evan Hansen; while kids of all ages will enjoy moments from Sesame Street, and the Mighty Power Rangers.
The celebrated Singers band rocks the house with an impressive medley of a tribute to 50 years of band features and a tribute to big band swing. Badger fans will love the Singers’ rendition of the famous Fifth Quarter where audiences sing Varsity and dance to Jump Around. This performance features area singers and dancers representing grades 5-12 in ENCORE!

Book Fair & Gift Sale, Tuesday, Sept. 12

BOok FairThe Auxiliary of HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital will host its bi-annual book fair and gift sale at the hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Books, music, greeting cards, toys, accessories and gifts for all ages will be for sale, with proceeds benefitting various projects and programs at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital – a faith-based, not-for-profit hospital.
